Born and raised on Long Island and a longtime Santa Barbara local, Greg Liotta brings over a decade of management and operational experience to SB Permitting. Before joining SBP, Greg spent nine years with Tesla, where he played a key role in expanding operations along the Central Coast, including the company’s successful push into San Luis Obispo. At SBP, Greg combines his background in leadership, logistics, and team coordination with a deep understanding of Santa Barbara’s permitting landscape. He’s known for his calm under pressure, sharp organizational instincts, and ability to keep even the most complex projects moving forward smoothly. Outside the office, Greg is most at home in the water or outdoors, whether surfing, fishing, or golfing his way through the weekend.

With over seven years of experience in architectural drafting and design, Fadi Helwani brings both technical precision and artistic vision to SB Permitting. Known for his ability to merge classical design principles with modern tools and standards, Fadi leads our drafting team in producing plan sets that are not only accurate and compliant, but visually clear and construction-ready. At SBP, Fadi’s leadership and adaptability help transform complex design concepts into cohesive, buildable documents — embodying our values of innovation, efficiency, and craftsmanship in every line drawn.

Known for his ability to untangle complex cases and build clear permitting strategies, Tristan has led SBP to become one of the region’s most efficient and trusted permitting consultancies. A strategist at heart, Tristan combines local code expertise with operational precision, aligning his team around one mission: to make the permitting process as seamless, transparent, and predictable as possible for clients. Under his leadership, SBP continues to expand its impact across Santa Barbara, Ventura, and beyond, growing into a modern administrative agency that blends design thinking with regulatory know-how.

It's well known that not just in Santa Barbara, but California as a whole, the pre-construction industry is bottlenecked by the permitting process. Homeowners, contractors, architects, and developers are all affected when their project is years behind schedule because of the stringent review process. Time, money, and energy are all lost, and building projects suddenly becomes inaccessible to so many people.
Our mission is to make your project possible and accessible, no matter who you are and what it is (within reason). Through this, we will be saving people time, money, and energy, which all can be better spent on what actually matters. We aim to create a standardized service which anyone can go to when you have an idea for an ADU, an addition, a remodel, or even new construction. We want to be your go-to when you need a permit.
